SR. IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

ASK Chemicals needs a Senior IT Systems Engineer. This position serves as a senior Microsoft cloud services administrator, primarily for Azure and Office 365, but may also include Active Directory Exchange, Teams, and other cloud services as implemented at ASK. The Senior IT Systems Engineer will have experience in IT Project Management.

This person will be working in an international team to run, maintain and develop an IT Competence Center located in Dublin, Ohio. The successful candidate will be well organized, highly motivated and a team player.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· In alignment with organizational goals, perform as cloud administrator for existing Office 365 and Azure implementations.

· Provide leadership in migrating information and services into the cloud.

· Recommend and implement configurations according to ASK Architecture and Security standards.

· Act as SME for implementing, managing, and monitoring ASK's Microsoft Azure environment. Provide design input and analysts on project achievements; analyzes weaknesses and recommends system improvements.

· Configure and lead Office 365 and Azure cloud services, provide solutions to complex technical challenges, and serve as a liaison between Microsoft and the Office 365 user base. 

· Performs work with little to no appreciable direction. Exercises latitude in setting objectives, within established organizational goals and guidelines.

· Accountable for compliance with ASK IT policies, standards, and procedures, completion of work on time, on budget, and in accordance with expectations, for maintaining professionalism and expertise, and for identifying improvement opportunities.

· Documentation of IT Operations landscape and Services

· Perform other IT Operations duties as assigned

· This position requires occasional travel.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Thorough understanding of Microsoft collaboration stack including Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, Exchange, and SharePoint online.

·       In-depth knowledge of supporting and complementary technologies, such as ADFS, Azure, Active Directory Connect and PowerShell

· Hands-on experience administering Azure, along with a strong understanding of core Azure services, Azure workloads, security, and governance.

· Ability to work effectively independently as well as within a team environment.

· Excellent Interpersonal skills.

· Experience in Virtualization technologies and Infrastructure

· A minimum of 6 years relevant experience directly supporting an enterprise IT infrastructure.

· Distinguished troubleshooting ability

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge and experience with:

· Expertise in M365 application (e.g., Exchange online, SharePoint online, One Drive, Teams, Power Automation) and other emerging Office 365 functionality.

· Deep technical Skills and capable of serving as a SME across all the M365 technologies.

· Microsoft Intune for MDM (Mobile Device Management) + Computer Management.

· Experienced in configuration and administration of Microsoft System Center Suite

· Management of Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V)

· Administration Microsoft Active Directory domain environment including DNS, DHCP, DFS and Print Management

· Basic network printer setups and troubleshooting.

· Worked with technologies like password managers, Single Sign On, 2-Step, or Multifactor Authentication (MFA),

· Familiarity with High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies

· Familiarity with SQL Databases beneficial

· Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.

· Certifications:  Microsoft 365 Security or Messaging Administrator, CompTIA Security+ are desirable.

· An ITIL qualification is preferable but not essential

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

· Bachelors Degree | Masters Degree related to a technical field or 6 years equivalent experience

· One or more or Microsoft cloud or Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications
