    We're hiring a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring clients’ architectural dreams to life! You'll serve as the primary architectural drafter for our company, utilizing design software to produce 2D and 3D designs. We have spent years of R&D on a proprietary, patented panelized construction system that enables rapid assembly and affordable building costs. We need your help to deliver a new range of models for our customers, ranging from 10x12' ADUs to 2500 sq ft homes and more. Communication is vital for this position as you'll work directly with clients and incorporate their feedback into your designs. Our ideal applicant has a passion for delivering incredible customer service and is an experienced design engineer with extensive knowledge of surface and solid modeling. Responsibilities: • Go to the initial client meetings to get details to understand the scope and specifications of the project • Keep superintendents and project managers up-to-date on the progress of the design and let them know when designs are complete • Perform simulations and stress tests on all 3D models before prototyping • Research material properties in large databases to identify the best materials for modeling • Get feedback from the client and construction managers and revise designs as needed Qualifications: • 2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired • Advanced knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion • Have great attention to detail, with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills • Be informed about the latest trends in design software and have a good understanding of the architectural design industry as a whole • Minimum 2 years of work experience in architectural design Compensation: $70,000
