    Job Summary:

    Ace Heaters, LLC is seeking a skilled ASME Code Welder to join our fabrication team. This role involves MIG and Stick welding of ASME pressure vessels, storage tanks, and water heaters in accordance with Section VIII, Division I of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in blueprint reading, welding procedures, and quality assurance practices, and will contribute to the safe and efficient production of high-integrity welded components.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Interpret and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to fabricate ASME pressure vessels.

    Prepare weld surfaces and determine appropriate welder settings.

    Perform weld prep, fit-up, and welding using qualified WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).

    Execute welds in compliance with ASME Section IX and internal quality standards

    Conduct visual inspections and rework/repair welds as needed.

    Maintain accurate welder continuity records and adhere to requalification requirements

    Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager and Shop Supervisor to ensure code compliance and documentation accuracy

    Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety protocols.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Minimum 1 year of welding experience, preferably in pressure vessel fabrication.

    Certification to ASME Section IX standards (WPQ/WOPQ) preferred

    Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    Willingness to wear the required PPE and follow safety procedures.

    Preferred Skills:

    Experience with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW processes.

    Familiarity with hydrostatic testing, NDE procedures, and weld mapping

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Flexibility to cross-train and rotate tasks as needed.
