Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team!You will be responsible for supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children ages 18 months to 3 years. You will assist with daily routines such as meals, diapering, and transitions while encouraging independence and self-help skills. You will observe children’s development and support their social-emotional growth through positive guidance and modeling appropriate behavior. You will help prepare and maintain the classroom, ensuring materials are clean, organized, and aligned with Montessori principles. You will communicate effectively with the lead teacher and families to support each child’s individual needs and contribute to a positive classroom community.
Responsibilities:
Support the lead teacher in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
Assist with daily routines such as meals, diapering, toileting, and transitions
Guide children using positive language and model appropriate behavior
Prepare, clean, and organize classroom materials in alignment with Montessori practices
Communicate with the lead teacher and families to support each child’s development
Qualifications:
Must have at least 3 Early Childhood Education units and in process of completing up to 9 more units
Experience working with toddlers (18 months–3 years) in a childcare or preschool setting
Understanding of child development and positive guidance techniques
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
