Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in athletic training
BOC Certification
CPR Certification (We can certify/renew)
Must be eligible for AZ Athletic Training License
Job Description
Tempe Prep Academy- Tempe, Arizona
Part-Time
20 hours in the Fall and 10 hours in the Spring. Times and Days vary based on sports practice
Responsibilities: Provide athletic training services including the prevention, care and rehabilitation of injuries which occur during AIA sanctioned sporting events including games and practice. The athletic trainer may use therapeutic modalities to prevent and rehabilitate injuries. They will be responsible for assisting in the operation of the athletic training training room.
Reports to school athletic director and AT Direct Sports Medicine
Athletic trainer will work under the direction of a physician
Communicates with parents and athletes about injuries
Communicate with team physician about injuries, referrals, and home varsity football games
Creates injury reports and documentation
Documents ALL concussions sustained using the SCAT6 form
Other
Athletic trainer will be required to keep medical documentation for all injuries and follow HIPAA requirements.
Will be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk/run moderate distances to perform work
Benefits
Part-Time Salary-17,850 prorated for starting date of October 1st
We also offer OPTIONAL extra per-diem work outside of required duties at the high school. Starting at $35 an hour.
