Overview

Job Description

As a Production Roaster, you would be part of a team that not only supplies the daily roasting needs of the fulfillment team but is responsible for the quality control of the coffee we provide to our customers. As part of the Roasting team, you would also be a part of sensory development and calibration. Lastly, taking pride in our Roasters, as a…Roaster, you would help maintain the roasting space and the machines themselves.

Your team operates independently of fulfillment, allowing for better team coverage. Meaning you would have a schedule specific to the Roasting Team. Coverage for PTO and Sick Leave will be within the Roasting Team.

• Roast for Fulfillment’s Daily needs as per the daily report.
• Receive and maintain an accurate inventory of green coffee lots in the team database with ICOs included.
• Preventative maintenance on all Roasting and Cupping Lab equipment alongside daily cleanup.
• Maintain inventory of Cupping lab needs (e.g., filters, RO filters)
• Assist and participate in Quality Control cuppings and sensory exercises.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS

• Fulfill coffee orders accurately (Shopify)
• Roast coffee based on the production schedule
• Assist in Quality Control and Sensory Development (Cropster)
• Maintain Roaster and Supporting Equipment
• Abide by all company safety and sanitary regulations
• Manage Coffee Inventory in Storage
• Unload trucks with pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Clean common areas of the warehouse / keep the warehouse organized

EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• General warehouse, service, or coffee industry: 1 year (Preferred)
• Interest in a coffee
• Google Suite
