The role
Based in Phoenix, AZ at IWA Airport
8am - 5pm Monday - Friday with some flexibility for special events
The Aviation Maintenance Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting Aviation Maintenance Technicians and other maintenance personnel, primarily for ATP Flight School's maintenance facilities in the Western US. The Recruiter must have excellent communication skills and will develop relationships throughout the local and regional markets that lead to quality hires. The position will require local travel and regional travel. A&P Mechanics are vital to our growing organization and recruiting additional team members is a high company priority.
Responsibilities
- Network with local Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) and maintenance providers to promote the benefits of working at ATP
- Recruit and invite local AMTs to interview with ATP
- Review applicants sourced through our online portals
- Screen and interview applicants and recommend qualified individuals to Maintenance Managers
- Build and maintain relationships with current Maintenance Managers and AMTs to understand our culture in effort to attract the right people for our organization
- Ask for referrals from current AMTs and everyone within our ATP organization
- Maintain relationships with new hires in an effort to improve AMT retention
- Research and participate with local organizations and associations for Aviation Maintenance Technicians (PAMA / ATEC / others??)
- Attend local events (job fairs, industry events, etc.)
- Build relationships with local AMT Schools and their Alumni
- Understand and report on local competitive information (salary and benefits data)
- The goal is to fill open positions while developing a pipeline of qualified candidates

- One or more of the following:
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
- Aviation maintenance industry recruiting experience
