Overview:
Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented ATP Technician to support the testing, validation, and final acceptance of loitering munition systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in electronics and electro-mechanical systems, with proven experience working in structured testing environments that follow strict quality and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all systems meet operational, performance, and compliance requirements before deployment.
Required
- 3+ years of experience in ATP, testing technician roles, or similar positions in defense, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with automated testing systems or test software.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Preferred
- Experience working with military-grade systems, defense technologies, or loitering munition platforms.
Responsibilities
- Perform final functional, operational, and performance testing on Hero loitering munition systems.
- Conduct hands-on testing of electronic, mechanical, and integrated subsystems in controlled environments.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and discrepancies; collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Verify the calibration and proper operation of all testing equipment and tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, military standards, and environmental guidelines during testing.
- Document test results, issues, troubleshooting steps, and corrective measures in a clear and traceable manner.
- Analyze and interpret test data to confirm system compliance and reliability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure testing area in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide recommendations to improve testing processes, documentation, and quality assurance practices.
- Assist in preparing or updating system specifications and test specifications.
- Participate in investigations of issues discovered during integration, testing, or field trials.
- Travel to vendors or partner production sites to support integration and final acceptance testing.
