University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

• University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
• Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.

Primary Function of Position:

As Graphic Design Intern, you will play an essential role in the strategy and execution of products and services across different media, including web, advertising, editorial and print. You are the champion for consistency across all brand and communication touch points. You will translate business needs into compelling customer experiences — relying on your strong design training to make this happen You will conceptualize and design solutions from start to completion under the guidance and mentorship of designer team members. We’re looking for a passionate and talented creative who thrives on taking initiative and creating work that breaks through the clutter.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Brainstorming and developing concepts under the direction of the Design Managers and Design Director
• Design with a strong emphasis on print as well as for multiple digital channels        including ad, site and/or display
• Balance creative requirements with the realities of business needs
• Create wireframes / mood-boards / storyboards to communicate design intent
• Attend project kick-offs and collaborate with Project Managers to make ensure projects are on track
• Execute designs from conception to final mechanical file hand-off to print and/or digital production teams

Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

• Current enrollment in a Design degree-seeking program at the Bachelor’s or Master’s, level
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the latest design tools including Adobe CC, experience with Figma is a plus
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at a time
• Ability to work within established visual guidelines and frameworks
