Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a very important client.
JOB SUMMARY:
Design, develop, and document new quality products that can be manufactured and sold at competitive prices. Improve existing products by adapting updated designs into current products.
JOB DUTIES:
Create new products using customer input, experience, and safety and functional characteristics.
Design and/or modify electronic control circuitry.
Evolve conceptual ideas into detail designs.
Maintain existing designs and documentation.
Evaluate/analyze electronic circuits.
Specify components and processes.
Test new prototypes.
Perform review of discrepant hardware.
Interface with outside test labs and regulatory agencies.
Assist customers with requests or answer questions.
Respond to customer complaints.
Maintain department files.
Update procedures.
Software design and implementation with appropriate microprocessor hardware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of standard documentation practices. Strong knowledge of electrical hardware, software and manufacturing, especially that dealing with embedded processing. General office, communication, and computer skills. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure accuracy of drawings with producible designs to achieve a quality product efficiently.
Manage cost and schedule of projects undergoing design and development.
Strive for continuous improvement.
Perform all work according to customer input, following statutory and regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Software Engineering. Knowledge of C and assembly computer languages. Word processing and spreadsheet experience needed.
INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS:
Position requires regular contact both inside and outside the company at all organizational levels, including, but not limited to, department managers, sales personnel, customers, and vendors. Involves considerable tact, discretion, and persuasion in order to obtain willing action and consent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with abstract or concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret an extensive amount and variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule, or mathematical form.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must possess ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific journals, engineering reference books, financial reports, ISO 9001 Regulations, and department, company, and FDA requirements. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, or superiors. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one or to groups.
