    JOB SUMMARY:

    Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computerized building automation systems. Provide analysis of building control and mechanical system performance in buildings. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.   Perform DDC controls troubleshooting. Act as liaison to customer, and electrical installer.  

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Preventative Maintenance Tasking (Database Back-ups, Control System Analysis, Network Analysis and Optimization, Central Equipment Controls Performance Testing, Customer Training)
    • Execute Service Quoted Projects
    • Troubleshoot DDC Control and Mechanical Systems
    • Replace Failed Components as necessary
    • Consistent Communications  (Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Account Managers, and Customer)
    • Carry 24-hour pager as scheduled

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
    • Computer hardware and software skills
    • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
    • Excellent communications and interactive skills

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    This position requires consistent physical work at a project jobsites and customer facilities, spending most of your time on your feet.  Jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes.  Lifting and exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently is required.  Must be comfortable climbing a ladder regularly.  Small repetitive motions and use of small tools is included.

    POSITION TYPE AND HOURS:

    • Full-time, non-exempt
    • Typical Monday – Friday working hours with flexibility as needed, including participating in periodic on-call rotation
    • Local travel required up to 30% of the time with occasional out-of-state travel

    CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • AA degree in applied technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Building Mechanical systems experience
    • Computer programming experience
    • Troubleshooting experience
    • Electrical-06A license
    • Knowledge of DDC Control Theory & Applications
    • Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
