Maintenance and Repair Specialist -- Full-Time
Summary:
As a Maintenance and Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for performing advanced level troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and systems maintenance will ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Utilize your advanced skills to perform break-fix and preventative maintenance, including identifying and resolving the root cause of problems, dismantling devices to remove defective parts, and repairing or replacing parts as necessary.
· Source and procure necessary parts, supplies, and repair items to support maintenance activities.
· Independently execute maintenance tasks in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
· Operate various machining operations, such as lathe, drill press, and grinder, to fabricate and repair parts. Welding tasks may also be required.
· Adhere to 5S and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Actively participate in continuous improvement activities, identifying process enhancements, achieving results, and contributing to cost savings initiatives.
· Update records and review the history in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
· Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues.
· Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect and analyze equipment performance data.
· Provide guidance and support to lower-level technicians and assist in leading small teams. Continuously enhance your skills through advanced training and development opportunities.
· Engage in on-the-job and technical self-study programs to foster career growth and expertise.
· Adhere to all safety policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Maintain situational awareness and promptly identify and address unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:
· High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
· Associate's degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of experience in general industry; or 2 years of experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
· Proficient understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems. Ability to analyze problems and perform effective repairs.
· Competency in using basic hand tools and specialized tools as required for maintenance tasks.
· Willingness to travel as needed.
