Clinical Meditech Analyst
The Clinical Meditech Analyst is responsible for providing support for clinically focused
applications by troubleshooting, analyzing, developing, and maintaining MEDITECH’s clinical
applications and procedures.
· Assist with installing clinical application upgrades and enhancements by collaborating with internal departments and external vendors to develop conversion plans for system changes including communication, and maintenance testing.
· Provide in-service and assists with continuing education of software to users.
· Analyzes problems, determines cause and initiates corrective action as needed.
· Assist with identifying requirements, determining objectives, identifying stakeholders, recommending product solutions, and establishing budgets and timelines.
· Develops clear and concise documentation, instruction manuals.
· Maintains a high level of interaction with all clinical areas to continually enhance and improve patient care.
· Shares on-call duties with other staff within Information Systems department.
· Coordinates and participates in both internal and external user group meetings as needed.
· Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital mission, vision, value statements standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, clinical application software is required.
· Candidates must have at least three years of experience in MEDITECH Applications.
· Able to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data.
· Must possess excellent communication and analytical skills necessary to resolve issues in timely manner. Proficient computer skills necessary including Windows operating system and Microsoft office tools.
· Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
· Self-motivated to deepen understanding of healthcare by producing results in their work
· Willingness to work non-standard and/or extended hours as necessary.
