Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

We are seeking an experienced hospital Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for our community hospital in Chicago, IL. This person must have hospital experience to qualify for the position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all nursing operations within the organization
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and guidance as needed
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to improve patient outcomes
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among nursing staff
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's degree preferred)
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of acute care, assisted living, home care, and Medicare regulations
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and resident rights
• Proven ability to effectively manage a team of nurses and promote a positive work environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
