AVB is currently seeking an experienced COMMERCIAL PROJECT ENGINEER.

The primary focus of this position will be to work in conjunction with Project Managers and Superintendents to manage the successful execution of complex construction projects. Will provide day-to-day management of essential functions and provide additional support to other team members as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in gathering and distributing project-related information
• Assist in organizing and reviewing subcontractor bids
• Coordinate and process change management items and project documentation (i.e., front-end bid documents, contracts, submittals, RFI’s, bulletins, meeting minutes, etc.)
• Organize and disperse contracts, insurance requirements, change orders, etc.
• Maintain project files and project communication lists
• Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes
• Update project budget changes as related to ASI’s, RFI’s, bulletins, etc.
• Organize and update drawings and specifications
• Manage project close-out

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or similar is preferred, but not required
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications is preferred, but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively with both external and internal customer

Salary is commensurate based on experience.
