Avery James School of Cosmetology is seeking an Admissions Representative to join our team. The perfect candidate must be goal-oriented, highly motivated and have excellent customer service skills. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits.

The Admissions Representative provides assistance and guidance to prospective students searching for career development. Other responsibilities of the position include: 

• Recruiting students into career training programs. 
• Conducting virtual and face-to-face interviews to assess the education needs, vocational ambitions, aptitudes, and abilities of prospective students and help match prospects to career training. 
• Scheduling appointments with incoming prospects for campus visits and providing information about the different career programs offered. 
• Participating in school Career Day Events and College Nights. 
• Helping the prospective student navigate through the admissions requirements and the necessary documentation needed to meet the demands of various regulatory entities. 
• Follow-up contacts via phone calls, emails, texts, etc. Involves heavy phone work and follow-up, but no cold calling.

Pay and Benefits:

• $15 to $16 per hour.
• Medical, Dental and Vision Plans.
• Paid Vacation and Sick time.

Requirements: 

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Must be comfortable and confident with making and receiving a high volume of phone calls.
• Must be computer-literate, able to fully utilize and record all activity in CRM program. 
• The successful candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Experience in recruiting, public relations, career counseling, intangible sales, outside sales or customer service is strongly preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
