We are partnering with a leading investment management firm to identify an AVP – Data Operations to join a growing team supporting insurance and investment operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data operations professional who enjoys working with complex financial data, driving operational improvements, and partnering with teams across investments, technology, accounting, and compliance.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of investment and reference data across multiple platforms. You'll play a key role in data governance, reporting, reconciliation, and process improvement while helping ensure the accuracy of information used for investment decisions, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

• Validate and reconcile investment, security master, and reference data across multiple systems.

• Help develop and maintain data governance standards, quality controls, and documentation.

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and key performance metrics that support operational and business decision-making.

• Support internal, regulatory, and client reporting through data validation, automation, and analysis.

• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies while partnering with cross-functional teams to identify root causes.

• Coordinate with technology teams on system enhancements and process improvements.

• Maintain accurate reference and master data across investment platforms.

• Collaborate with investment, accounting, compliance, operations, and client service teams to fulfill data requests and resolve issues.

• Support ad hoc reporting, documentation requests, and special projects.

• Maintain detailed audit trails and documentation to support data quality and compliance initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in data operations, investment operations, asset management, or financial services.

• Strong understanding of investment products, including fixed income, alternative credit, mortgages, and related investment instruments.

• Experience with data governance, reference data management, and operational reporting.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with SQL or financial data platforms is a plus.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple business functions.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with investment data platforms such as Bloomberg, Clearwater, AllVue, IVP, or similar systems.

• Familiarity with insurance asset management or institutional investment operations.

• Experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions, and operational metrics.

• Exposure to data governance initiatives, process automation, and workflow improvements.
