    A leading, high-growth global investment management firm undergoing significant expansion is seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to join its dynamic team in Los Angeles. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to lead complex fund operations, drive process enhancements, and partner closely with senior leadership across the firm.

    $200-$235K Total Comp (base + full annual bonus)

    Hybrid 3 days/week in office

    The Senior Manager/Director, Fund Accounting will be a key member of the Los Angeles-based team, overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, valuation review, and tax coordination for the firm’s private equity platforms. This role offers broad exposure across the organization, including close collaboration with investment professionals, internal finance functions, and third-party service providers.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee accounting and operations for multiple complex funds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial deliverables.
    • Lead quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, including GAAP statements, management fee and waterfall reviews, and coordination with external administrators and auditors.
    • Manage fund liquidity and capital activity, including cash management, investor capital calls/distributions, and credit facility oversight.
    • Direct tax-related workflows and collaborate with internal and external tax teams
    • Provide oversight and strategic input for investor reporting, due diligence, and upcoming fund launches.
    • Ensure compliance with fund partnership agreements, credit facilities, and regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with investment operations, performance, and technology teams.
    • Identify and lead process improvements, system integrations, and onboarding initiatives for new funds and administrators.
    • Manage, mentor, and develop team members, including offshore resources and external administrators.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
    • CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
    • Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience, including leadership within fund accounting, private equity, or investment management.
    • Prior public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred)
    • Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with fund accounting systems
    • Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities across multiple stakeholders and seniority levels.
    • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities.
    • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and sound business judgment.
    • Continuous improvement mindset with an ability to streamline processes and drive operational excellence.

    $200,000-$235,000 per year
