    Job Description

    AVR, INC. is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator

    JOB OVERVIEW:

    Responsible for a variety of Payroll tasks and other duties

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·       Manage and process weekly disbursement of in-house payroll, including garnishments, child support, benefits and taxes to 250-300 employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws

    ·       Ensure proper over-time calculation and pay of fringe benefits for 5 different unions per union contracts (10 different union contracts)

    ·       Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts

    ·     Certified Payrolls

    ·    Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements

    ·    Support all internal and external audits related to payroll

    ·    Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports

    ·    Maintains payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data

    ·    Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests

    ·    Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures

    ·    Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

    ·    Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential

    ·    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

    ·    Act as plan administrator and liaison between retirement plan providers

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

    ·        Familiar with processing union based payroll.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    ·        HS Degree

    ·        1-2 years payroll experience
