    JOB SUMMARY

    Software Engineer Interns work under the direction of a Software Engineer or Software Engineer Lead to complete a variety of entry-level tasks involving the design, development, test, and integration of software solutions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS

    Software Engineer Intern tasks include:

    • Participate in the design, implementation, and modification of CSCIs or modules within an overall software solution, with directed supervision and review
    • Perform Unit Testing and Integration testing
    • Participate in design reviews and code reviews
    • Create and maintain documentation
    • Provide status and updated Estimates-to-Complete to the Software Engineer Lead
    • Follow applicable project standards, policies and procedures
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

    QUALIFICATIONS

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

    • Able to work within Linux and/or Windows environments

    • Basic knowledge of applicable programming languages

    • Basic knowledge of software architectures and design methodologies

    • Basic knowledge of procedural and object-oriented coding methodologies

    • Ability to work within a small or large team

    ESSENTIAL MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and intra-team/interdisciplinary communication.
    • Basic math skills including linear algebra.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documentation.
    • Ability to analyze problems using scientific and logical thinking.
    • Ability to work within a small or large team
