    We are seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter/Furniture Maker to join our wood shop team in Claymont, Delaware!

    AWR Commercial Window Company specializes in the repair and restoration of metal and wood windows and doors. We provide repair, preservation, and restoration services to residential, commercial, municipal, churches, cathedrals, historic, and landmark buildings throughout the United States.

    Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7 AM – 3:30 PM

    Pay Range: Dependent on experience.

    Finish Carpenter/Furniture Maker Requirements:

    10 plus years' experience of woodworking knowledge and working in a wood shop.

    10 plus years’ experience in repair and restoration or wood windows or doors

    Communicate quality control and reviewing proper documentation with management.

    Direct team on tasks and timelines

    Must be able to use proper techniques with wood shop equipment

    Must be able to read tape measure

    Must be able to use basic math

    Must be detailed oriented

    Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs or more

    Standing, bending, and repetitive motion for up to 8 hours

    Authorized to work in the United States

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Finish Carpenter/Furniture Maker General Accountabilities:

    Assemble, sand, and finish items; to prepare them for finishing using hand tools and other wood shop machinery.

    Setting up and operating a variety of woodworking equipment safely

    Take accurate measurements.

    Operate and maintain all equipment to include, but not limited to: table saw, band saw, planer, shaper, jointer, drill press, miter saw, router, sanding machines, bench work, sanders, and polishers.

    Smooth, shape, and touch up surfaces in preparation for finishing, using sandpaper, chisels, sanders, or grinders.

    Maintains organized work area, neat and clean

    Follows company procedures and safety standards

    Other related duties as assigned by management
