Job Title:AWS Data Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Translate business and software engineering needs into data products (e.g. – APIs, streams, etc.) throughout the Agile lifecycle.
- The ideal candidate would have a strong background in the development and design of complex systems in one or more of the following areas: migration of critical system data to the cloud, development of cloud-based data platforms
- This position is expected to deliver solutions that adhere to enterprise and/or governance standards and meet, if not exceed, the information needs of all stakeholders in terms of information availability, security, and quality.
- Collaborate with developers, data teams, and architects to design and maintain scalable data infrastructure.
- Build and test robust data architectures and processing systems tailored to organizational needs.
- Develop scalable interfaces and software using modern programming tools.
- Design and deploy data pipelines to integrate large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Automate processes, implement data quality controls, and enhance infrastructure for operational efficiency.
- Address data gaps by building pipelines and delivering enriched, automated analytical capabilities.
- Establish batch/real-time data feeds from source systems for analysis.
- Support data-driven decision-making through analytical tools and techniques.
- Apply responsive front-end technologies and ensure systems align with business goals and standards.
- Explore new data acquisition methods and innovative uses for current datasets.
Required experience:
- Five (5) or more years of ECS with AWS experience using one or more of the associated services - S3, EMR, Glue Jobs, Lambda, Aurora, CloudTrail, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch
- Java, SpringBoot and REST API and API Gateway development
- Must have hands on or strong knowledge of Flink
- 2+ years within Terraform and Cloud formation
- Eight (8) or more years SQL experience
- Experience with Kafka/Messaging preferably Confluent Kafka
