    Moving 10TB of data from Siebel to AWS

    Both of these positions are Cloud Systems Engineer roles. We will be looking for candidates with AWS and AWS migration experience.

    Migrating from Siebel to AWS.

    Make the go or no go for Terraform vs Cloud Foundation.

    Ansible very important, Splunk knowledge is helpful 10 TB of data is being migrated.

    Need one person with very technical skills and one with techno functional skills to help them decide to use Cloud formation OR terraform.

    Certifications for this type of role are highly preferred.

    Builds, analyzes and refines Cloud IT systems requirements.

    Translates systems requirements into applications prototypes. Plans and designs systems architecture.

    Writes, debugs, and maintains code.

    Determines and designs applications architecture. Develops cloud migration strategies to move application workloads to the cloud. Optimizes performance and cost of the cloud infrastructure by identifying opportunities to improve resource utilization and reduce costs. Ensures the cloud infrastructure is secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Determines output media/formats and designs user interfaces. Works with customers to test applications. Assures software and systems quality and functionality. Integrates hardware and software components. Writes and maintains program documentation. Evaluates new applications software technologies; and/or ensures the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services. 7+ years experience with focus on Infrastructure Management and Operations, and experience with AWS cloud platform and relevant certifications. Experience automation languages such as Python, Bash, Powershell, Ansible is preferred, Configuration Management Tools, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

     

    Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

    May lead the delivery of architectural technologies for software solutions and ensure that technology deliverables are met based on business requirements; articulates business needs into technology requirements and leverages necessary resources; leads technical team providing recommendations in the early stages of a project, review and mentorship during the middle phases as well as implementation, and final proven leadership in the delivery and deployment phases.

    Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications.

    Develops specifications for products/services, applications and service offerings.

    Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

    This job will support smaller to medium size project initiatives.

    Advisor, collaborating with IT Leadership and business leadership drives to drive appropriate technical actions, while ensuring implementation of compliance and communication protocols.

    May work with external vendors.

    Builds and maintains strategic/effective working relationships across groups and provides efficient, timely, customer service or project/program support.

    Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
