SUMMARY: This Quality Engineer role will be based onsite in Houston, Texas.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the coordination of the AS9100 certification process
• Develop and implementing quality standards for analyzing and monitoring effectiveness
• Collaborate with functional managers for acceptance of Flight Hardware
• Continuous improvement to Quality Management System and document file organization
• Working with functional leads on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) inputs and updating KPI Dashboard
• Conduct internal audits
• Identify mandatory and key inspection points for manufacturing and assembly of spaceflight hardware and ground support equipment
• Inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
• Serve as a member of the Material Review Board and assure appropriate disposition, cause and corrective action on non-conformance reports and disposition records as well as maintaining follow-up on open reject tags and non-conformance reports until they are satisfactorily closed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field
• 10+ years’ experience in a Quality Control ISO 9001 and AS9100 working environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in CMM operation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Experience with Spacecraft or Aircraft Avionic control systems
• Experience in document control within an ERP system
• ASQ certification preferred

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
