  • Responsibilities

    HOURS: 10 hours/day; 4 days/week (4:00PM-2:30AM) Monday to Thursday

    GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Handle material as directed by Night Supervisor and or Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. Package material as needed, fifty percent of the time for forklift and fifty percent for packaging.

    FORKLIFT RESPONSIBILITIES

    Apply proper paperwork procedures for each customer per the detailed SOP provided in a separate document.

    Count in and verify all quantities of incoming material.

    Report to Supervisor any damaged incoming material or material damaged while at AaCron.

    Get material ready for shipment by crating, banding, etc.

    Maintain safe working environment by keeping work area clean and organized. Report any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor.

    Feed material to the lines.

    Perform other duties as assigned including, but not limited to working in other departments.

    PACKAGING RESPONSIBILITIES

    Obtain and sort products and inspect materials around product, such as but not limited to: corrugated flat sheet, kraft paper, corrugated cushion, bubble wrap, stretch film, and masking film.

    Verify material piece counts and weigh containers (adjust quantity as necessary) on all packaged materials.

    Label containers, container tags, and products along with nailing, taping, closing, or sealing containers.

    Record information such as weight, time, and date packaged.

    Complete necessary written paperwork, including accurate material piece counts, and then turn paperwork into the office to have a packing slip cut.

    Properly complete all paperwork as required in the packaging department.

    Make sure the color and coating thickness is as Required before doing final packaging.

    Make sure material is packaged properly as per customer requirements.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

    3 years of recent forklift experience.

    Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting is recommended.

    Ability to read, interpret, and comply with company documents such as; safety rules, work policies and procedures.

    Basic computer operating skills.

    Communicate effectively with co-workers in all departments and work together to achieve daily goals.

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

    Operation of all material handling power equipment

    Frequent work near moving mechanical parts.

    Exposure to chemicals at OSHA acceptable levels.
