Responsibilities: • Garage Door Installation: Perform professional installation of various types of residential garage doors, including overhead sectional doors, rolling steel doors, and custom-made doors according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements. • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines during the installation process. Conduct thorough safety checks on completed installations to guarantee the secure and efficient operation of the garage doors. • Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any concerns or questions they may have about the installation process. Strive to exceed customer expectations and leave a positive impression on every job. • Site Preparation: Assess job sites and prepare them for garage door installation, including measuring, leveling, and making any necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. • Material Handling: Safely transport and handle garage door components and materials, including panels, springs, tracks, and hardware, ensuring they remain in pristine condition during transit and installation. • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing garage doors, providing efficient repair solutions to customers when required. • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and services rendered. Complete installation reports and paperwork in a timely and organized manner. • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including sales personnel and technicians, to ensure smooth workflow and a seamless customer experience. • Training and Mentorship: Assist in the training and mentorship of junior technicians and apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Qualifications: • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Residential Garage Door Installer is required. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools essential for garage door installation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. • Physical Fitness: The role involves heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
