Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of a behavior assistant with the option to become a registered behavior technician (RBT) to become an integral part of our dedicated team. As a behavior technician, you will be responsible for providing personalized ABA therapy to our young clients with special needs, under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Qualifications: While previous experience in ABA is desirable, it is not mandatory. ABA therapy focuses on teaching new behaviors, so if you are energetic and enjoy working with children, we can provide the necessary training. - We offer comprehensive training, continuous supervision, and a supportive work environment that distinguishes us from others in the field. - The position initially starts as part-time with the opportunity to transition to full-time hours. Responsibilities: • Conduct 1:1 applied behavior analysis sessions in various settings, such as in-home, center, and community-based environments, based on individualized treatment plans (ISPs) created by BCBAs. • Utilize the provided iPad for data collection to track and assess the effectiveness of treatment plans. • Document progress on treatment goals through regular written session notes. • Collaborate with the supervising BCBA to review progress and address any obstacles hindering advancement. • Establish and maintain professional relationships with both families and staff at A Better Day ABA, PLC. Qualifications: • To apply for the position of Behavior Technician in Williamsburg, VA, US, candidates must possess a high school diploma. • Reliable transportation is required to commute to the clinic and/or parent • Applicants should be capable of lifting up to 50lbs, bending, sitting on the floor, and engaging in active play. • Completion of a 40-hour RBT training program before joining our team is mandatory, and we can guide applicants on how to obtain this training. • Availability to work at least one scheduled shift (mornings or afternoons) 5 Days a Week. • Candidates must demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation, and commitment to working with children with special needs.
