    Accounts Receivable Support

    SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

    The Accounts Receivable Support position assists with providing clerical support services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate accounts receivable and work-in-process. By completing these tasks and complying with established policies and procedures the Accounts Receivable Support position ensures billing and receivables are accurate and up to date.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Clean up open accounts receivable balances by applying them to invoices and or creating debit memos.
    2. Clean up work-in-process for tax years 2014 and before.
    3. Verify correct work-in-process on client accounts for tax year 2014 and after.
    4. Verify correct accounts receivable on client accounts for tax year 2014 and after.
    5. Monitor amounts and accounts of billing for PPP loan fees and Schedule C’s.
    6. Apply payments to invoices for PPP loan fees and Schedule C’s.
    7. Assist current Accounts Receivable staff with collection letters and to do’s.
    8. Review Transportation invoices created daily.
    9. Edit, correct as necessary, save invoices to our online database, post invoices and apply any available receipts for invoices.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Associates degree
    • Two (2) years of bookkeeping experience
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Professional appearance that complies with the standards of the Abacus Employee Manual
    • Ability to work at a computer station for several hours
    • Ability to lift at least 15 pounds

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    This position has no supervision responsibilities. He or she will have the Controller as a supervisor.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time position. Occasionally, some weeks over 40 hours will be required.
