Our client is a non-profit organization. They seek a temp to perm Grant Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Calculate monthly and quarterly invoices and other reporting for contracts
• Manage tracking systems of contracts monthly billing and redesign as needed
• Oversee maintenance and organization of all grant documents in electronic filing systems
• Maintain monthly expenses, salary allocation reports, and supporting documentation
• Contribute to the preparation of contract budgets and budget modifications
• Assist with agency audits, contract annual audits, and oversee interim monitoring visits
• Follow up with contract representatives on contract billing issues
• Liaise with the Development & Program teams to develop budgets for grant proposals
• Develop controls that identify potential issues early in the grant life cycle
• Monitor contract accounts receivable and communicate with funders as necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of grant-related accounting experience
• Comfortable working with digital financial systems
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative with excellent service abilities
• Skilled in MS Office Site
