JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of the Security Department, you will work closely with the Security team, Support, and Engineering Departments to develop and manage security for one or more IT functional areas (e.g., data, systems, network, and/or applications), effectively protecting our organization and our clients' from external cyber security threats.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to the following):

• High interaction with the Security, Engineering and Support teams, responding to escalated issues a timely fashion
• Respond and action alerts from our SIEM and centralized management system to maintain health and security of our platform
• Ability to scope, implement and support new security projects/initiatives
• Ownership and follow up of pending issues to resolution
• Maintain an awareness of security and control issues in emerging technologies
• Utilize interpersonal and business skills to effectively communicate with management, peers, and clients

SKILLS

• Familiarity with industry standard tools and applications (such as Rapid7 IDR/IVM, Palo Alto, SentinelOne, Varonis)
• Familiarity with Microsoft (Server, Workstation, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Office365, OneDrive/SharePoint, Intune, Exchange) and Citrix (XenApp) technologies
• Ability to navigate and utilize a ticketing system (such as ConnectWise)
• Experience with change management and remediation processes
• Experience with documentation, technical and policy writing
• Highly logical thinker and skilled in identifying root cause of problems
• Must be able to work both independently and in project teams
• Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines
• Must have availability to occasionally work nights and weekends

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a system engineering or technical security role
• A Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or similar focus
• Microsoft Certified (MCSE) or equivalent certification a plus
• Security Certificate (current or within 6 months of hire) (such as; CySA, CompTIA Security+ CE, CISA, SSCP)
