  • Responsibilities

    Professional Asbestos Lead Services (PALS) is seeking a high-level abatement PM in the Bay Area. This role offers the opportunity to own asbestos, lead, and mold abatement projects from bid through completion while working closely and being mentored by senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, entrepreneurial PM with proven hazardous materials experience and connections in the Bay Area who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. With strong estimating skills, urgency, and client-facing confidence, you will shape the success of this critical regional division. While there is a satellite office in Concord, this role offers the freedom and flexibility to work from home or directly at project sites, giving you full ownership over how you structure your day.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage abatement projects end-to-end with full safety compliance

    • Oversee hazardous materials management, waste removal, and manifests

    • Lead, mentor, and manage project teams and field staff

    • Prepare project documents, schedules, and negotiate change orders

    • Support estimating by reviewing plans and preparing labor, equipment, and materials estimates

    • Maintain a roster of 100-200 potential workers to meet staffing needs

    • Liaise effectively with unions and provide direction to superintendents

    • Report on project budgets, team strengths, and recommend training

    Hard Skills

    • Proven experience managing asbestos, lead, and mold abatement projects

    • Strong estimating and bidding skills with a record of winning work independently

    • Public works experience preferred (school projects primarily), but more importantly, experience running tight schedules with managing 10-20 on-site employees.

    • Experience with Plexus software is a plus.

    • Relevant certifications related to lead, asbestos, or mold would be beneficial
