    PRODUCER NEEDED

    Abbson is seeking a Producer to join our growing Production team. The Producer will be a creative force at Abbson, working directly with Talent to create high-quality productions. He or she will work closely with our EVP of Production & Creative to set the tone and look of their assigned shows, and then work to create systems that maintain those standards on an ongoing basis to ensure success of the productions they are responsible for. Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of previous professional experience in a professional Production role with leadership and management responsibilities and is highly creative and organized. ABBSON EMPLOYEES MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING ON ALL TYPES OF POLITICALLY CONSERVATIVE CONTENT.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Produce assigned shows from start to finish, including creative, look, tone, content, logistics, hiring, final project delivery, notes, and audience engagement
    • Work with the EVP of Production & Creative to create a firm ethos for each show and memorialize that ethos in a “show bible” for each show
    • Create and manage project budgets, utilizing software to build specific, clear estimated and actual budgets that enable the EVP of Production & Creative to make informed decisions about each show in real time
    • Create and implement audience interaction and growth strategies in line with each show’s core values
    • Create, execute, and maintain each show’s primary goals
    • Manage the Production team members involved with each show, holding them accountable to make the project a success
    • Work with Talent on booking guests, collecting news stories, and preparing other content necessary for the success of the show
    • Create and manage project workflows, utilizing company platforms to build specific and clear workflow steps to track team members, deadlines, milestones, and deliverables, ultimately ensuring that projects are delivered successfully
    • Work closely with the Pre-Production and Post-Production Manager, as well as with other departments, to ensure seamless communication for all deliverables associated with each project
    • Recommend, screen, and interview for new positions that enable projects to scale, ensuring that each project will have the most efficient and effective team at all times
    • Create and maintain project calendars with accurate and complete information related to deadlines, deliverables, and dates
    • Work with the EVP of Production & Creative to merge the creative vision with the technical and organizational elements of each project, ensuring that the vision comes to life
    • Communicate with external vendors, venues, studios, partners, Talent, and clients with respect to the requirements and deadlines for each project to ensure success while maintaining positive relationships and furthering Abbson’s image of professionalism, success, and exceptional service
    • Create and update regular reports and dashboards that easily demonstrate the status, costs, and results associated with each project
    • Make purchase recommendations to improve all aspects of projects
    • Perform other tasks as assigned

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • At least three (3) years of previous professional Production experience with demonstrable producing credits
    • At least two (2) years of experience managing a team of at least three (3) people
    • Detailed knowledge of the film production process and video, audio, and lighting equipment
    • Proficiency with personal computer operation, Microsoft Office, and G Suite
    • Comfort working with budgets, spreadsheets, and databases
    • An interest in and knowledge of news and current events (preferred)

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time; non-exempt

    COMPENSATION RANGE: Dependent upon experience

    WORK LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (in-office required)

    REPORTS TO: EVP of Production & Creative
