PRODUCTION ASSISTANT NEEDED
Abbson is seeking a part-time Production Assistant to join our growing Production team. The person who fills this role will assist the Production Team in the complete, timely, and quality-controlled delivery of Abbson’s production projects and coordinate closely with other team members to maximize the efficiency of every production project. Our ideal candidate is organized at a high level, has a heightened attention to detail, and is attentive and engaged when interacting with other team members. To succeed in this role, candidates should have well-developed organization skills coupled with an ambition to grow their production and creative skills. ABBSON EMPLOYEES MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING ON ALL TYPES OF POLITICALLY CONSERVATIVE CONTENT.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Print and distribute paperwork, including such documents as scripts and call sheets
Move production equipment to various locations to enable productions
Assist team members on set, ensuring that production equipment is located where it should be and team members have what they need to produce the production
Escort talent and clients around filming areas and coordinate with other team members to make sure the needs of talent and clients are met
Conduct crowd control by putting up signs, directing pedestrians, and locking down sets
Act as a runner on set, distributing messages and items between team members, talent, and clients
Perform administrative work, such as answering phones and filing paperwork
Run errands off set, to and from production offices, and to other off-site locations in order to facilitate productions
Inspect videos or other content in a quality-control capacity to assure company standards are met
Assist in the post-production process as needed to ensure timely and accurate delivery of content
Facilitate communication between team members on assigned projects
Assist other team members with maintaining, updating, and verifying company production and IT inventory systems
Assist with the build out of new production spaces for the team in an assistant capacity
Book travel, reservations, transportation, and arrange meals
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of proven, demonstrable production experience
Is currently attending or recently graduated from an accredited U.S. institution of higher education
A working knowledge of personal computer operation, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps
Comfortable working in file management databases
An interest in and knowledge of news and current events (preferred)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-time (15-20 hours per week); non-exempt
COMPENSATION RANGE: $15/hour
WORK LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (in-office required)
START DATE: Immediate
