    Job Description

    DESCRIPTION

    The Supply Chain Analyst is expected to conduct internal auditing and reporting working closely with the Inbound & Outbound Logistics Teams as well as the Accounting & Finance Teams, in addition to other internal and potentially external customers.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Internal Auditing for Inbound & Outbound Freight Invoices
    • Freight Cost Reporting
    • Freight Budgeting
    • Claims Processing & Reporting
    • Ad Hoc Reporting

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Record planned/actual cost for inbound and outbound freight at the detail level
    • Audit inbound and outbound freight Invoices including coordinating auditing of the invoices with 3rd party audit firm to ensure that billed rates match contracted rates
    • Publish weekly, monthly, yearly inbound and outbound freight cost reports including historical costs as well as future projections
    • Prepare inbound and outbound freight budgets
    • Support RFP processes for inbound and outbound freight
    • Administer claims submission to carriers and collect payment (not including claims processing)
    • Publish reports on claims performance
    • Review, audit and analyze key financial data.
    • Present financial reports and estimates to decision makers within the organization.
    • Provide solutions to accounting and finance issues as they arise.
    • Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities.
    • Act as the “voice-of-reason” to ensure good financial decisions are made in the best interest of the company.
    • Reconcile internal transactions by comparing and correcting data.
    • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
    • Review and analyze current and past financial performance and identify trends.
    • Develop and implement appropriate tactics for the pricing area to achieve agreed targets and objectives.
    • Monitor/measure and report performance of programs/contracts to management.
    • Some ad hoc project work and/or reporting may be required.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus.
    • Wholesale/consumer goods industry preferred.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Operations role (Inbound/Outbound Logistics, a plus)
    • Advanced MS Excel required.
    • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written correspondence.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
    • Ability to work independently and problem solve.
    • Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
