    DESCRIPTION

    This Inventory Forecasting Analyst will report to the VP of Supply Chain. The Inventory Forecasting Analyst is responsible for ensuring inventory flows into corporate warehouses as planned and the company is neither under-stocked nor over-stocked. The successful candidate will collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations to address gaps to plan and communicate risks and resolutions to stakeholders.  This position will actively participate in weekly meetings, suggesting better methods to handle current inventory and improve the use of company resources. This position will require effective communication and interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as advanced math and MS Excel skills.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Analyze inventory flow to ensure warehouses are neither under-stocked nor over-stocked, based on provided targets.
    • Identify measures needed to prevent stock-outs of top-selling SKUs and move through over-stocked inventory.
    • Collaborate with partners across supply chain to implement changes needed.
    • Manage Purchase Order process including pricing, volume discounts, and discrepancies.
    • Track shipments to ensure they are complete, correct, and on time. 
    • Identify and report on KPIs that allow company to anticipate disruption to inventory plans. 
    • Develop and implement recommendations to address problems with inventory flow. 
    • Create and maintain reports with reliable/high accuracy information.
    • Extrapolate large volumes of data, summarize it and communicate findings simply and concisely.
    • Work collaboratively across organization including Operations, Accounting, Sales, and Logistics.
    • Build collaborative relationships with business partners to coordinate operational process and to help resolve issues.
    • Participate in manufacturing and operations planning meetings, raising problems and potential solutions.
    • Influence operational decisions through analytics presented to Senior Management.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
    • 5+ years’ experience in Inventory Control, Planning and/or data analysis role required.
    • Advanced level in MS Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs required.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a sense of urgency while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of enthusiasm, professionalism and motivation.
