    We are seeking a technically skilled and collaborative Associate Scientist to join our Quality Control team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Scientist, you will play a key role in investigating complex product failures, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. You will work closely with the team to improve QC test design and mentor junior associates to foster their growth as scientists.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support for the QC team.
    • Ensure products meet set standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
    • Collect, compile, and analyze relevant quality experimental data.
    • Root cause, track, and report on closed investigations when requested.
    • Initiate updates and creation of new functional SOPs as needed.
    • Identify ways to reduce waste and maximize resources.
    • Supervise a subset of junior associates within the QC team.
    • Develop new QC experiments for intermediate solutions.

    Work Environment:

    • Lab setting 30%
    • Office setting 70%
    • BSL2 lab
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have a B.S. in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, immunology, or another Life Sciences field, with a master's degree preferred. They should have a minimum of three years of related industry experience and experience with Lean manufacturing or equivalent methodologies. Experience in a Biosafety Level 2 or higher-classified laboratory environment is required.

    The position requires prolonged stints of standing/sitting, so physical endurance is necessary. The ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, along with strong organizational skills, is essential. The candidate should be able to analyze and reconcile moderate to complex issues independently and demonstrate initiative and accountability in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are required. Manual dexterity is also necessary to operate office and lab equipment effectively.
