    Job Description

    As a part of the Network Engineering & Architecture team, the Engineer role will be directly involved in all phases of network design, implementation, and support, including assisting in the transformation journey to accelerate cloud adoption at Abercrombie & Fitch.   This role will be responsible for Abercrombie & Fitch's network portfolio and topology, including, but not limited to, enterprise Local Area Networks ("LAN"), enterprise Wide Area Networks ("WAN"), enterprise wireless, enterprise security, network monitoring, enterprise DNS/DHCP, network automation, and load balancing.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

    • Partner with cross-functional Engineers to deliver A&F’s Cloud transformation initiatives across multiple products and portfolios
    • Assist in designing and implementing global enterprise networks services to support ongoing organizational growth and needs
    • Team Up with fellow Network Engineers to design and implement Azure Cloud networking services
    • Actively monitor all aspects of network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
    • Participate in identifying, designing and implementing automated network processes to help increase autonomy and network resiliency
    • Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess near and long-term network capacity needs
    • Assist in designing and implementing disaster recovery plans for LAN and WAN network connections and protocols Create and maintain standards documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
    • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry
    • Communicate effectively in all business relationships and various levels of management in a clear and direct manner
    • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
    • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance metrics and reports
    • Participate in managing all network security solutions
    • Be available for rotating 24/7 on-call support

    WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BRING?

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or related field
    • 8+ years of IT experience emphasized in networking 
    • 3+ years of experience in Cloud implementation and operational support
    • Proven experience and success with network design, implementation and support
    • Experience deploying and operating services on a public cloud framework, preferably Azure
    • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
    • Extensive knowledge of WLAN design, implementation and support
    • Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining enterprise networks, which include EIGRP, BGP, EVPN routing, MPLS and QOS
    • Experience with network automation including Ansible and Python development skills
    • Demonstrated understanding and experience of network automation frameworks, architecture, strategy and roadmap with the ability to mature processes through automation
    • Extensive, hands-on technical knowledge of multi-vendor network hardware, encompassing Routers, Switches, SDN/NFV, and Access Points from Cisco, Juniper, Riverbed, and Extreme Wireless.
    • Experience with F5 load balancing, Riverbed WAN Optimization and SolarWinds Management Tools
    • Strong technical knowledge in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM implementation and support
    • Interest in new technology and staying ahead of technology roadmaps
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
    • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
