The Head of Data & Insights is responsible for the strategy, delivery and support of Business Intelligence systems, applications, data and governance across the enterprise. We’re seeking a candidate who is a strong leader, is passionate about data and analytics, and constantly innovates in an ever-evolving retail environment.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Lead and mentor our Data & Insights team which is responsible for business intelligence solutions, platforms, data engineering, and data architecture
- Establish and deliver to a data and insights strategic roadmap in support of our corporate strategies; delivering world-class solutions to enable our brands’ initiatives
- Develop standards, policies, and procedures for our data, systems, and applications and establish strong data governance within the organization
- Ensure stability, performance, and support of critical production systems meet the corporate demand for data and analytics needs
- Enable and support the continued growth in analytics throughout the organization, optimizing our ability to leverage insights to best inform decision making
- Drive delivery of projects and incremental functionality in support of our company’s needs and investment.
- Define technical data strategy for the enterprise driving data enablement
- Define vision and roadmap for modernizing extensive systems integration platform
- Serve as application owner for enterprise integration systems
WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BRING?
- 10+ years demonstrated expertise in business intelligence systems/platforms, data warehouse, and/or advanced analytics
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior leadership role
- Experience with Hadoop, EDW, and BI platforms (Hortonworks, Netezza, OBIEE, Tableau is a plus)
- Experience setting up and leading Data governance initiatives
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization, collaborative,
- Demonstrated thought leadership providing data solutions to solve business challenges
- Project delivery expertise for large portfolio
- Product and execution vendor management required
- Strong strategic, analytical, and tactical skill sets
- A 4-year degree in an IT related field
- Retail experience preferred
