    Job Description

    ABILITYPATH IS HIRING A CHILDREN'S THERAPY SERVICES PROGRAM AIDE TO JOIN THE TEAM IN EITHER BURLINGAME OR REDWOOD CITY 

    The CTS Program Aide supports the Children’s Therapy Services Program and is responsible for assisting achieving classroom goals and objectives for children in Children’s Services. The Program aide supports and works alongside our seasoned therapists ( Speech Therapist, Occupation Therapist, Physical Therapist and Early Interventionist ). This is an AMAZING opportunity for students or young professionals looking to gain experience in these fields of study and expand their skillset supporting young children birth to 3 in our innovative programming.

    THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WITH UP TO 20-25 HOURS A WEEK (FLEXIBLE), CLASSES AND HOURS OF SUPPORT ARE TYPICALLY DURING THE MORNING 9:30-12:30. PAY STARTS AT $17/HR 

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • Participate in planning and implementation of classroom and group activities (including set-up and clean-up of class, organization of classroom and program materials)
    • Provide documentation of interventions
    • Assist Children’s Services staff with paperwork, materials development, and curriculum planning, and special projects
    • Assist with tracking and ordering program supplies and materials
    • Case management duties as specified by program manager
    • Comply with children’s rights, AbilityPath and program policies, CARF standards, NPS compliance, CCL regulations, CAL-OSHA, quality assurance standards, etc.
    • Must act as a Mandated Reporter, and responsible to report any known or suspected adult/child abuse
    • Must comply with applicable federal, state and local regulations and laws
    • Understanding of typical/atypical development in young children ages 0 – 5 years old
    • Awareness of, sensitivity to, and competence in supporting people with developmental disabilities

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE :

    • Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and ability is qualifying, unless otherwise specified.
    • Experience teaching children ages 0-5 years old
    • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)

    HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

    • Valid California Driver’s License/ID
    • Proof of negative TB test results
    • Verification of physical clearance
    • Passing a criminal fingerprint clearance
    • 18 years of age or job permit clearance
    • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination and Booster

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Accommodations made upon request to Human Resources:

    • Ability to physically manage children up to 40 lbs. (carrying, positioning)
    • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequently
    • Ability to sit and keyboard as needed
