Job Description
We are seeking a Paralegal to become a part of our Abrams, Walt & Associates team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. The job will require time in the office for training. Primarily will be able to work from home.
Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents related to real estate transactions.
• Conduct research on legal matters pertaining to real estate law and compliance.
• Perform due diligence on property titles, land use restrictions, and potential liens.
• Maintain files and databases related to active and completed real estate transactions.
• Prepare for and attend real estate closings, assisting with document review and signings.
• Liaise between our firm, clients, and external stakeholders such as title companies and real estate agents.
• Handle administrative tasks such as managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and drafting correspondence.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Paralegal certification strongly preferred.
• Previous experience as a paralegal, specifically within real estate law, is a significant plus.
• Proficiency in using performing legal research.
• Familiarity with real estate transactions, title insurance, and escrow processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
