    Job description: #IND

    1. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing verification of credentials;
    2. Provides assistance to the Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in performing patient care activities with General Population and/or Mental Health inmates;
    3. Assists with admissions and discharges from the unit;
    4. Bedside care and assisting patients with activities of daily living;
    5. Assists with toileting, incontinence care, showering and dressing;
    6. Safely transfers/transports patients in wheelchairs or on gurneys;
    7. Assists with ambulation, turning and positioning of patients;
    8. Assists the RN or LPN with respiratory care (coughing, deep breathing, etc.) as well as intake and output measuring/documentation, patient vital signs and other patient care or procedures not requiring the knowledge or experience of a RN or LPN;
    9. Secures specimens for laboratory analysis (i.e. urine, stool, sputum, etc.), labels specimens and transports them to the lab
    10. Assists with postmortem care;
    11. Restock supplies;
    12. Documents actions in the Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR);
    13. Responsible for all other duties and tasks assigned by the supervison

    Schedule:

    • 5x8s days, evenings and nights with possible alternating weekend
    • Rotating weekends

    Experience:

    • CNA: 1 year (Required) License/Certification:
    • CNA License (Required)
    • BLS Certification- American Heart Association (Required)
    • Ability to Relocate: Ayer, MA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
    • Work Location: In person
