Daily Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm)

Telecommuting: Option available, subject to supervisor approval based on travel requirements.

Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Specialist to join our team in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology, with the ability to work independently and provide guidance to others. An advanced education may be preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance and assessment to designated NYS OMH facilities.
• Conduct site consultations, focusing on circuit bandwidth, VoIP phone system upgrades, and wireless upgrades.
• Install, relocate, and remove equipment including VoIP phones, WAPS, and data communications equipment.
• Participate in all project phases such as request analysis, site surveys, site preparation, cable troubleshooting and installation, asset management, inventory control, and network assistance.

Training:

• Attend all New York State/GOER and ITS Agency mandated training programs, including but not limited to Internal Controls, Prevention of Workplace Violence, Sexual Harassment Prevention, and Information Security.

Travel Requirement:

• 3 out of 5 days throughout the Capital District region, Rockland county, Mid-Hudson region, and parts of Central NY.

Security Requirements:

• Mandatory ITS Security Agreements
• HIPAA and Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement (CNDA)
• Standard ITS background check, including fingerprinting
