    Absolute Staffing is searching for a Senior Business Analyst to work with our client. 

    Employment Type: Full Time

    Location: Albany, NY 12236

    Engagement Length: 30 months

    Experience Required:

    60 - 84 months (5-7 years). Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.

    Daily Work Hours:

    Negotiable; between 8am and 5pm EST, Monday-Friday. Telecommuting is an option.

    Description:

    The candidate will serve as a Senior Business Analyst in the Program Optimization Support and Transformation (POST) bureau, supporting the New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS) PeopleSoft system functional areas and bureau users. The role entails collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective business processes and system functionality, along with documentation and cross-training initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with stakeholders to support existing business processes and system components.
    • Document and categorize existing business processes.
    • Collaborate directly with operational bureau managers and staff to design and implement timely and effective solutions.
    • Compose and review business system documentation.
    • Validate requirements throughout the business analysis process.
    • Assist in communicating business process and system requirements to IT staff and other stakeholders.
    • Review and analyze business process deficiencies requiring resolution during or after implementation.
    • Participate in system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure functionality.
    • Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and cases.
    • Design and develop deployment plans in coordination with stakeholders.
    • Facilitate the execution of deployment plans.
    • Analyze and develop solutions for problems identified during the deployment process.
    • Coordinate various activities required as business owners of the Deployment Phase of the System Development Life Cycle.

    Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Oracle PeopleSoft, IBM Rational Jazz Team Server, SQL Developer, Visio, Oracle DB, ServiceNow, Adobe
