    A seasoned accounting professional with a proven track record in implementing robust accounting systems. This individual will bring experience and a strong foundation in accounting to assume a leadership role, with the ultimate goal of growing into the position of CFO. The ideal candidate will showcase a history of driving change in systems and processes, coupled with a focus on making necessary adjustments and process improvements. This role demands a focus on leading through change, and we are seeking someone who has demonstrated this proficiency in their past endeavors. The perfect fit for our team will have evolved progressively in the accounting realm, starting from roles like staff accountant to various finance roles, all while maintaining a solid accounting core. Experience in midsize companies, where the ability to "wear multiples hats", is a definite plus.

    Candidates located in the Memphis 38016 highly preferred. Some travel required.

    The position is eligible to be hybrid after a successful introductory period.

    Primary Functions of the P osition:

    • Directs the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders and clients

    • Directs the preparation of all tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies for Absolute and related subsidiaries and other entities

    • Oversees accounting departments, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meets regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer direction.

    • Direct or coordinate an organization’s financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency

    • Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate

    • Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down-sized, or eliminated

    • Ensures the company’s compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and standards

    • Negotiates with other companies regarding actions such as mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures

    • Convenes with CEO, Chief Business Development Officer, COO and Controller to coordinate and prioritize planning

    • Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new product areas. Estimates requirements for capital, land, buildings, and an increase in the work force.

    • Oversees daily banking activities including the management of the company’s lines of credits and overall banking relationships

    • Participates in Senior Leadership and Board meetings, functions and duties

    Team Member Supervision:

    • This individual will be directly supervising 2-3 individuals and providing leadership to a department.

    Property Related Management:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills & analytical and organizational skills

    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

    • Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to create and conduct simulation models, data reduction and trend analysis

    • Ability to present data in a clear and concise manner

    • Ability to conduct presentations with excellent presentation skills, often times to a group

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Master’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance preferred; Bachelor’s degree required
    • C.P.A. designation preferred
    • Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information
    • 5-10 years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning
