Position: Academic Dean (on-site position)
Key Responsibilities
Provide instructional leadership by modeling effective teaching strategies and promoting best practices across subject areas.
Mentor and support high school faculty in curriculum design, classroom management, and differentiated instruction.
Guide the development and implementation of Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum across relevant subject areas, ensuring rigor, alignment with College Board standards, and successful student outcomes.
Collaborate with academic leadership to develop and refine curriculum, ensuring alignment with state and national standards.
Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, fostering accountability, professional growth, and high instructional standards.
Conduct classroom observations and provide targeted, constructive feedback to enhance instructional quality.
Lead and facilitate professional development workshops to foster continuous growth among faculty.
Analyze student achievement data to inform instructional planning and intervention strategies.
Serve as a liaison between faculty and school administration, communicating teacher needs and supporting school-wide initiatives.
Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new teaching staff.
Partner with the administrative team to address student behavioral concerns and uphold a positive and respectful school climate.
Cultivate a collaborative, innovative learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic achievement.
Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, faculty, and staff to ensure alignment on academic and behavioral expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience at the U.S. high school level.
Demonstrated leadership experience within an educational setting.
Deep understanding of high school academic standards, instructional methodologies, and curriculum frameworks.
Proven experience in coaching and mentoring educators.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive instructional decisions.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English required.
