Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 60 college credits and at least one year of tutoring experience (experience in Math and ELA is preferred)
- Proven proficiency in subject matter
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to help students succeed
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with students
- Motivation and passion to tutor and inspire academic excellence
- Reliable transportation for in-person sessions in San Mateo, CA (Proof of insurance required if driving)
- Must pass reference and FBI/DOJ background checks
- Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last two years)
- Please submit any relevant certifications (Teacher’s Credential, Tutor Certification, etc.)
- Opportunity to earn a National Tutoring Association certification through StudentNest
