- Work Locations: In-person in the Redwood City Area (anywhere in San Mateo County)
Academic Tutor Job Highlights
- Pay rate: $22.00-24.00
- Schedule: TBD (Typically weekday evenings and potential weekends
- Subjects: Math & ELA (Social Studies/History, Science is a plus)
- Working with K12 students
Academic Tutor Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring exp. (preferably Math and ELA)
- Established proficiency in subject matter
- Detail-oriented and highly dependable
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence
- Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring. If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed
- Must clear reference check & FBI/DOJ background check processes
- Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)
- Please provide a copy of any certification you hold such as a Teacher’s Credential/Certification or Tutor Certification
- National Tutoring Association certification available to StudentNest tutors
