    We are currently looking for a DISPATCH ASSOCIATE to join our team.  We have 30+ vehicles, drivers, warehouse staff and a large inventory of rental equipment.  Coordinating getting the right equipment to the right place at the right time for the right event requires a detail-oriented and organized Dispatch Team.  We want someone who understands logistics and the movement of product from location to location.  The ideal person will know what it’s like to be the central point of communication between multiple teams and will be able to walk us through past experience coordinating lots of moving parts.  In order to be successful, there is a large element of this role that will require effective communication between multiple parties. 

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Clear, concise, and up-to-date information sent to operations and sales routinely throughout the day.
    • Ensure positive communication between the operations and sales staff.
    • Effectively route all delivery and pickups for each day.
    • Supervise drivers and field crew in the daily execution of their duties.
    • Ensure that all routes, jobs, and productions are properly staffed.
    • Enforce company policy and procedures. Solve problems and provide solutions.
    • Stay informed of equipment failures; report as required and seek to mitigate or fix.
    • Enforce all government safety requirements and regulations.
    • Track and research all reports of safety violations; document and correct as necessary.
    • Network with other industry professionals.
    • Perform other duties as requested.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have high school diploma
    • Must have minimum of 3 years in dispatch experience.
    • Must maintain a professional appearance.
    • Must be able to prove the ability to maintain cooperative relationships with others.
    • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional people-skills and leadership ability.
    • Diligent and proactive results-driven personality.
    • Ability to integrate industry technology and software.
    • Confident and effective decision-making.
    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to coordinate, plan, manage all aspects of event rental operations to ensure optimum productivity.
    • Ability to make operational projections three weeks into the future.

    POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This job primarily operates in a warehouse and outdoor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

    This is a full-time position.  This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend supervision.
