Our solution is built on a stack that integrates customized hardware with proprietary machine learning algorithms to create a distinctive product tracking, data collection, and performance optimization solution for retail. As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will help solve a variety of technical challenges to enable new solutions enabling frictionless shopping transactions. You will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with other teams. Some of the challenges will involve developing applications using computer vision and deep learning models. Our applications run at 30 frames per second -  We use a mix of python and c++  libraries and low level code optimization to achieve our performance metrics. The Software team works with other internal Engineering teams to create unique design solutions and improve algorithms to create stable, reliable solutions. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

• In depth understanding of Computer vision and deep learning algorithms
• Experience training models through GPU computing using NVIDIA framework
• Ability to transform research articles into software modules that can be integrated 
• Implement and maintain our CI and testing infrastructure
• Coordinate with various internal teams to develop integrated solutions.

 REQUIRED SKILLS

• Higher level University degree (BS or MS) in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 2+ years relevant experience in Computer Vision and Deep Learning
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Good coding skills on Python and/or C++. Focus on Object Oriented concepts
• Proficient in python packages like pytorch, opencv, numpy
• Experience with modern development tools and methodologies such as github, jenkins, unit testing, docker containers.

THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN OUR SAN DIEGO OFFICE AND WILL REQUIRE THAT TEAM MEMBER LIVES IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA.
