    Job Description

    Accendi Group is searching for an experienced, talented INDUSTRIAL HYGIENISTS to develop and oversee our client's protocols for health, safety and environmental issues. In this role, you will develop and manage a team, implement policy, and conduct training's.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Implement programs, policies, and procedures associated with the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of chemical, physical, and biological health hazards.
    2. Review work control documents. Identify and analyze industrial hygiene hazards. Establish appropriate controls and mitigation's.
    3. Evaluate the implementation of industrial hygiene programs and policies. Prepare assessment plans and evaluation criteria.
    4. Serves as a technical advisor to departmental management and other personnel in identifying, containing and regulating the use and storage of hazardous materials; develops and implements inspection practices and procedures.
    5. Investigate and evaluate health and safety hazards and coordinates remedial action with representatives from various departments and other agencies.
    6. Conducts surveys of potentially hazardous workplace operations, including monitoring for physical, biological, and chemical agents, evaluating results, recommending corrective actions and preparing reports.
    7. Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
    8. Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.
    9. Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety.
    10. Develops, modifies, and/or maintains health and safety programs for employees.
    11. Designs policies and procedures for responding to hazardous materials incidents and implementation of environmental health and safety laws, codes and regulations.
    12. Develop and conduct health and safety training, including programs concerning the proper use, storage and disposal of hazardous materials and the regulation of hazardous materials according to laws and regulations.
    13. Provides regulatory support with respect to interpreting, interfacing, and responding to agencies that enforce local, state or federal regulations.

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in in the physical sciences, biological sciences, or engineering
    • 7-10 years in a related field; current CIH / CHMM certification required.
